Gettin My Art Muse On!

I do find it extremely important for my Psyche to get in my local art dates
That would include going to other Artist receptions
Taking a class from another Artist from time to time
Sitting down with the latest issue of Quilting Arts mag and reading it from cover to cover
Or taking a trip to your local art Gallery with a friend and joining in on
An ATC workshop
see below

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artist_trading_cards

I have never made an ATC. Seen a lot read a lot about it.
And now I am really liking it. Its really fun way to make a lot of small cool art! Then you get to trade if you want with other artists and it is so fun to see what other people make.
The best part is that it is no stress and you can totally chat it up while your creating.
I think I am going to put on a little ATC workshop of my own with some non
Arty friends of mine to let them feel some of the freedom!!!
You can always theme base it and if your not into the actual ATC thing then after you make them turn them into one of a kind miniature cards or just gift tags..

New endeavors on the Horizon lately.
While holding down two part-time jobs to pay bills.
Serving my family and church.
I still find time to squeeze in my Art goals.
My goal until the new year is to build a class schedule of sorts to offer to Galleries, scrap and stamping stores and private individuals.
So far I have 4 workshop's scheduled for the next few months in Escondido.
One of which is shown as an example in this photo above and below.

So I have been told this style of art I do is called Steampunk.
"I know I didn't know what it was either"
So when I read the description I was like, "OK, that's cool with me"
And now I am doing a series of works based on that style.
In addition I am creating workshops based on that style as well as the day of the dead art. I always love that stuff.
Please email me if your interested in finding out more details of workshops.
And as always you can purchase some of my smaller art with pay pal right from my web site

You know what? That is a clever idea. I have been to a few art shows here and there, but now I'm thinking I should do more...maybe it would inspire me more, as I am just getting back into my artwork.

Thanks! :)

Awesome that you will be offering workshops! I live about an hour and 20 minutes from Escondido so getting to one would be easy. Can't wait to see what you are offering. :)

like your ATCs..they are very addictive and there are a whole load of challenge blogs out there with prizes to win..I have a list of some on my blog. Like the steampunk stuff..I always called it grunge! thanks for visiting my blog today..I found it funny you calling me deary as over here in the UK only 90yr old pensioners use that term..something your clearly not by your steampunk attitude..ha ha!

I can feel your creativeness oozing from the screen..and I am NOT kidding! Why was I born beautiful but with NO talent. (I'm kidding!) NOPE I was behind the door when beauty and talent were handed out..but...but...I'll visit here for my "fix" .. :)

Ladybug!!!!
How are you?? I miss you! I haven't been on any sites other than blog & facebook lately.
Lovin' the steampunk.... isn't that a pretty cool art form? You know, I've never made an ATC, either!!! I think we are a minority.....HA!... Most artists trade those regularly!!
Anyway, hope things are going well for you!
